Three children died as temperature plunges in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, and hundreds of thousands of people are at risk following the thunderstorm in Syria and neighbouring countries.
Humanitarian organisation CARE warned in their report on January 18 the attack of heavy winter storms worsening the living situation of internally displaced Syrians and Syrians living in Lebanon and Jordan, where temperature expected to drop lower than they have in 40 years, reaching -14 degrees Celsius and more down.

According to OCHA, his mother is reported in the intensive care unit.
A 3-year-old and 5-year-old child died on January 16 morning in a north camp of Aleppo, Syria, when the fire broke out in their tent and caused it from the heater. The mother is critically injured with some major burns and taken to the hospital in Syria.
Due to cold weather, the body’s temperature drops, due to which two children are admitted to Bulbul campus hospital, Syria. Both children receive treatment at a hospital in Afrin, Syria, OCHA said.
