Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family is now preparing to celebrate “Family Day in Qatar,” which generally falls on April 15 every year, in a bid to highlight the importance of the family and its role in the process of development and construction.
The theme of the family day celebration is “Qatar is healthy with the cohesion of its families,” in a context where the Ministry is taking out its duties towards society and family development as a specialised ministry.
According to the Minister of Social Development and Family, ‘Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad statement that Qatar has always been the first to celebrate the family day, which is the backbone of the society and its solid nucleus.
She explained that the great interest in the family comes from the wise leadership’s belief in the centrality of the family in national development, also adding that the advancement of the family clearly means the improvement of society, and this comes through concerted efforts to support and care for it and protect its security, stability and cohesion by investing in well-studied events and programmes that would contribute in achieving the most significant degree of stability and family cohesion in society, enabling it to face challenges, especially those targeting its value system and social contract.
She also declares that their Ministry is currently working on developing creative strategies and interactive methodologies directed toward families and their members through tools for collecting and analyzing relevant data and statistics.
The Ministry’s programme also includes a mixture of activities in attendance and through various transmission platforms while strengthening collaboration with numerous partners in order to celebrate this occasion, which represents an added opportunity to highlight the roles of all institutions in the country in supporting the process of growth and community building within the framework of Qatar National Vision 2030.
