And the summary of Angham’s story, according to what was reported in the local media, that “she was officially associated with a young man in the village and the Fatiha was read for the engagement, but her fiancé was in an emotional relationship with another,” and this “other” decided to end her life on the pretext of stealing her lover from her.

Rahma Farhat called Angham and lured her to agricultural land, and upon her arrival, she was surprised by suffocation and various assaults on her, and she seized the ring she was wearing on the finger of her right hand.

She also seized her mobile phone, then ran away from the place to her home, where she told her father what she had done, so he took the dead woman’s phone from her and hid it on his farmland, but the police recovered it from him when they learned everything later.

At first, the police found only the groom at hand to interrogate him after they decided to imprison him for 4 days. He said that he loved his fiancée: “I loved her, but her neighbour would always threaten me and end her life if I proposed to her because she loves me.” Al-Khatib on her, and she confessed her crime and said: “You kidnapped my beloved from me. I said I burned his heart as I burned mine.” Then they referred her to the Public Prosecution Office, which decided to imprison her for 4 days, pending investigation.

The Egyptian newspapers revealed that the Public Prosecution apparently, charged Mustafa Fathi, the fiancé of the murdered woman, with “kidnapping and indecent assault on the accused, Rahma Farhat, who is the killer, because the investigations indicated that there was a previous emotional relationship between him and her.”

The site stated that Al-Khatib took advantage of the killer’s young age, “which is only 15 years”, to establish a “relationship” with her for two years, during which he asked her for some money so that he could marry her, and then moved away from her, so Rahma Farhat grieved and was so upset that she tried to commit suicide once by eating Insecticide, but her family transferred her to the University Hospital in Alexandria, and she received treatment.
