The US warned against travelling to Israel due to flooding Omicron infections. The United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention issued the notice to travel to Israel on January 18 due to increasing the cases of COVID-19 infections.
The Centre for Disease Control put Israel at its highest risk assessment category, a “Level 4” identification that means very high COVID-19 risk.
Moreover, an agency of CDC added 22 countries to the list on January 18, including Israel, Australia, Egypt, Albania, Argentina and Uruguay. However, nearly 100 countries have recently been part of the Level 4 category.
Agency added, “try to avoid travel to such destinations if not necessary, and to make sure vaccinations are up-to-date if travel is required.”
In recent weeks, a staggering number of infections have been increasing in Israel due to Omicron.
Daily infections are recorded in the nation, which is breaking the record of pandemics, including Sunday and Monday, which saw over 60,000 new confirmed cases.
However, nearly 500 Israelis are admitted to the hospital in serious condition.
Travel between the US and Israel has been a constant concern during the pandemic.
Many US jews have said they always felt excluded from Israel, especially those who are living with their families.
However, Israel recently opened their borders after two years of pandemic and for some tourists earlier this month. As per officials flying domestic infections, they made the impact of infections from abroad negligible.
Moreover, Health Officials still recommend not to come to Isreal and take care of your health on your own.
