Women of Northern Israel were found dead in her apartment on early January 21 (Friday), and it has appeared that it was a domestic violence case in which the suspect was her husband.
The husband was arrested at the scene for fear of murder shortly after doctors declared her dead at their home in Nof Hagalil, which is located in Northern Town, once known as Nazareth Illit.
According to police, her husband, “Rasmia Barbur’s”, himself called the police and said he had killed his wife at around 1:00 am on January 20, and the couple’s three-year-old son was also at home at that time suspected of murder.
The paramedics from the Magen David Adom recovery service who answered the call said that Barbur was found with damages indicating that she had been pierced and had no pulse.
The couple belonged to the members of Nof Hagalil’s Arab community. According to the reports of Haaretz, there was no history of that couple having any contact with any social service.
According to the statistics collected by Bar-Ilan University, this killing is the first case of deadly violence against women by a partner or relative in this recent year. However, last year 16 women suffered and were killed by some known persons from their families and in 2020, 21 killings happened in the particular nation.
However, the killing apparently added to the swiftly mounting tally of killings in the Arab community; since the start of the year, six Arabs, including the woman, have been killed in criminal cases.
Arab community have seen several criminal cases in recent years primarily related to murder.
However, the Arab community blamed the police. The police have failed to break down on influential criminal organisations and ignore violence such as family rivalries, mafia, wars, and especially violence against women.
The community has also suffered from negligence for several decades.
