While reviewing their earlier issues travel protocols, on Tuesday, the authorities of United Arab Emirates has issues new guidelines which amends one of the major guidelines and updates it with new guideline stating that all the vaccinated tourists that are planning their trip to Abu Dhabi in coming days do not need to show proof of a booster shot to cross into nation.
In previously issued guidelines, the authorities made it compulsory for all the passengers who are planning their tours to United Arab Emirates to show the green pass, that would be issued through an official application, which will only be available to person if he/she has received their third booster dose.
The new guidelines will only be applicable to the visitors that are coming into Abu Dhabi, whereas the citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates still needs to receive their booster doses of vaccine against the contagious mutants.
The new travelling protocols has been perceived as confusion for entry protocols for Abu Dhabi, which has taken more strict approach against COVID-19 as compared to Dubai.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced Abu Dhabi to stand hard with Dubai, forcing all drivers coming into Abu Dhabi to stop for vaccination and COVID checks.
Meanwhile, updated guidelines have been proven as a heaeache for people coming into Abu Dhabi, with drivers from Dubai who has yet not received booster doses were turned away from capital border last week.
The emirate authorities has clarified that all the citizens and residents who are planning or are coming into Abu Dhabi are needed to show proof of booster shot to be considered as completely vaccinated and must maintain a “green status” on the government official health application.
According to reports, the update came with bringing new changes on Abu Dhabi tourism website showing that new rules will not be applied to international visitors, who are planning to come into capital city if they have received both of the doses.
Whereas, all visitors, whether residents or tourist, shall present a negative virus test conducted within last two weeks to come into Abu Dhabi and to its public places also, including gyms and shopping malls.
