Israel President “Isaac Herzog” is planning to travel with the first lady and will meet the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince “Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan” at the end of this month. It is considered as the latest high-profile diplomatic trip since the nation’s bilateral ties have turned to normalcy.
According to Herzog, “We have the privilege of making history by visiting an Israeli president to the United Arab Emirates and adding that the countries were “applying the foundations of new shared future.”
As per the office of the President, Herzog is also planning to schedule to meet with the ruler of Dubai and senior government officials and visit Dubai Expo.
The visit comes after the 16 months when the UAE broke with decades of Arab agreement and developed diplomatic ties with Israel.
The movement was part of the sequence of US-brokered deals known as the Abraham Accords, agreements that have angered the Palestinians.
Moreover, Prime Minister “Naftali Bennett” made a record last month on becoming the first Israeli head of government to visit UAE, in a trip that somewhat focused on overseas talks to visiting Iran’s nuclear programme.
Herzog, whose position is formal mainly, would be the first Israeli head of state to visit the UAE officially.
He asserted, “the bold new partnership” between the nations “will change the Middle East”, with Israel keen to develop the list of Arab countries that sign on to the Abraham Accords.
The deals were negotiated under former US President Donald Trump; however, President Joe Biden government approved it.
Moreover, Bahrain and Morocco have also normalised their ties with Israel under their contracts.
Sudan has agreed to do so, but traditional prudent ties have not occurred amid annoying fluctuation in Khartoum.
