Kuwait police detains four Asians for running an illegal alcohol plants

CAIRO: Kuwaiti police stated that they arrested four Asian people who were immigrants and they were operating an illegal alcohol plant in the southern governorate of Al Ahmadi.

The criminals, carrying an Asian nationality, were arrested in possession of 1,500 locally made alcohol bottles ready for sale. This is tweeted by the Interior Ministry’s Security Media Department.

Furthermore, they stated they, along with the captured contraband, have been referred to the qualified agencies for the necessary procedures without any further details.

In recent months, Kuwaiti authorities have reported several arrests and move in crackdowns on illegal alcohol plants in the country.

Last December, some reports stated that Kuwaiti police raided one such plant and found that the operator was a soldier in the country’s anti-drug team.

The 55 year-old suspect was doing a job as a General Directorate of Narcotics Control, and there were other two Nepali associated who were arrested in the raid on the makeshift factory which is situated in the home in the area of Al Sulaibiya, which is located in the governorate of Al Jahra, Al Anba.

Distillation equipment along with alcohol bottles were grabbed during the swoop.

In the earlier month, Kuwaiti police were searching for illegal immigrants who were cracked down on a makeshift alcohol factory that comes under Al Farwaniyah. This is the same location where they arrested 14 migrants, stated by resources.

The number of alcohol bottles that police seized was very high, and all bottles were illegal in the market, along with the tools and equipment used in the manufacture of alcohol.
