Dubai: Today, Kuwait has ranked 6th in the world with the lowest petrol prices, costing $1.57 (Dh5.77) per gallon of petrol, as per media reports
Ten countries have the most affordable petrol prices, including five Arab countries- Libya, Iran, Syria, Algeria, and Kuwait.
Venezuela was first in the world with the cheapest gasoline rates, costing $0.11 per gallon, $5.95 less than the worldwide average. Libya was second, costing only $0.15 per gallon. Iran has the third-lowest per-gallon fuel price ($0.23), significantly cheaper than Syria ($1.08-fourth-lowest) and Algeria’s fifth-lowest at $1.20.
The top 3 countries with the most expensive gas prices include Hong Kong in the first place, followed by the Netherlands and Norway.
The cost of a gallon of petrol is $13.10 – double the global average and $1.15 more than the second most expensive place.
In the Netherlands, petrol costs $11.75 per gallon and in Norway $11.36.
The cost per gallon of fuel is less than a dollar in only three countries: Venezuela, Libya, and Iran. Only four countries have prices of over $11 per gallon of gas: Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Norway, and Monaco.
Gas in the Netherlands is the second most expensive in the world, at $11.75 per gallon. Norway has the third most expensive gasoline prices in the world. On average, Norwegians pay $11.36 a gallon.
The German government took many steps to mitigate the effects of rising energy prices, including raising the basic tax-free allowance and increasing long-distance commuter mileage allowances.

Over the last half-decade, Iran has seen the most significant drop in gas prices anywhere on the planet. Prices have dropped by over 3,000 percent. Saudi Arabia’s gas prices have increased by about 300 percent in the last five years, making it the country with the largest increase in fuel costs worldwide.
