The Prime minister and minister of the Interior, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani presided over their regular meeting in the afternoon at Amiri Diwan. They also updated their green and red list countries based on their COVID-19 risk.
As COVID-19 is rising day by day once again, due to which Qatar announced some precautionary protocols, which will come into effect from 8 January 2022 and will go until their following notice.
Below are measures:
They allow all public employees to work from their workplaces in public and private sectors.
People can meet anybody in their office, but not more than 15 people are allowed if they are vaccinated and they must have their COVID-19 negative reports.
Employees who do not have their COVID-19 reports must fulfill the need of a rapid antigen test weekly. However, employees and workers who have completed doses of both vaccines do not require a rapid test.
Wearing a mask in all places is compulsory, but those who play sports do not need to wear it during their game.
Continue to oblige citizens, residents and visitors to activate the website “EHETRAZ” before leaving their home.
Wedding parties can be held in wedding halls or hotels, and only 40 people are allowed to attend weddings only if they are fully vaccinated.
Gathering in parks, beaches, and Corniche is allowed with a maximum of 15 people or family members who belong to the same home.
People travelling in the vehicle are not allowed more than four people in the car, including the driver.
According to MoPH (the Ministry of Public Health), there are some changes they have updated in their green and red list.
In a statement on Twitter mentioning some changes would take place in use from 8 January 2022, at 7 pm.
According to the current updated Green list, 143 countries now comes in a green list.
However, ten other countries are red-listed right now, a total of 57 counties.
The ten new countries which came in the red list are Austria, Estonia, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Portugal, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turkey.
No other modifications have been made except for the red list.
