Dubai: Dubai on February 22, Tuesday removed all the restrictions related to the RTPCR test that there is no need to do RTPCR testing for all the passengers who are coming from Indian airports.
The advisory of Dubai airport issued the update, and they are the ones who updated the travel requirements for passengers from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
The fresh advisory reports require Indian Nationals to produce a negative COVID-19 test certificate taken up to 48 hours before the flight’s scheduled departure. The passengers will require a PCR test from an approved health service provider upon their arrival in Dubai.
The rules controlling entry at the final goal will be applicable for transit passengers.
The duty to meet the travel requirements would lie with the airline operators.
The modification in travel requirements will ease the situation for many Indians who either reside in or frequently travel to the city.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 13,405 new COVID-19 cases and 235 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The country’s active cases presently stand at 1,81,075, and the total number of recoveries in the past 24 hours is 34,226.
The day-to-day positivity rate stands at 1.24 percent, whereas the weekly positivity rate is 1.98 percent.
As many as 175.83 crore vaccine doses have been issued so far in the nation.
Henceforth all international flyers from India to Dubai will need a negative RT-PCR test done 48 hours before taking the flight, and a PCR test will also be conducted on their flight land at the Dubai International Airport. The travellers need to go in a self-quarantine period till the results are declared.
Passengers tested negative can continue their travel plans while passengers tested positive will undergo quarantine and treatment as laid down by Dubai authorities. The norms governing the final entry point will be valid for transit passengers.
