Cairo: The government of Kuwait has said that they will reintroduce their three-month entry visa next week as the country has primarily eased COVID-19 restrictions.
According to the Interior Ministry, the three-month visa would take effect as of Sunday.
“The General Directorate of Residency Affairs declares the resumption of the validity system of entry visas for three months starting from March 20,” the ministry said.
Last month in February, the government of Kuwait removed all the restrictions related to the anti-coronavirus as well as relaxed the travel curbs after a marked drop in infection rates in the country of around 4.6 million people.
The new restrictions relaxed measures and allowed unvaccinated travellers to enter the country. They need to show their present COVID-19 negative PCR test report, which they conducted 72 hours before the flight. Also, they have to go for seven days home quarantine after they arrive in the country. Then they need to do another negative PCR test on the seventh day of their quarantine, and after that, they can end their quarantine period.
However, the passengers and people who are fully vaccinated are exempted from pre-arrival and on-arrival PCR tests as well as home quarantine.
Kuwait also introduces their new process of visa, and that is ‘electronic visa’ also known as e-Visa, for those who are planning to visit the Gulf states as tourists, them eVisa allows the holder a single entry to the country and enables them to stay for up to 90 days. It can apply for eVisa through a simple online eVisa application form.
Their validity of Kuwait Visit Visas is up to 90 days, three months. Any visitor can stay up to 90 days in Kuwait with a Kuwait Tourist Visa. You can either extend your Kuwait tourist visa online/ offline or re-apply for a Kuwait visa.
