One truck and van banged with each other in a narrow two-lane highway in the occupied West Bank in Jordan Valley on January 6. The accident took the lives of eight teenagers, and according to sources, of Israeli medics, two people were in critical positions.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declared Friday a day of national mourning following the deadly incident.

Thousands of Palestinian workers were working there in Jewish settlements along Highway 90 when the incident happened; all ran towards the Jordan Valley location.

All eight victims were teenagers comes under age 14 to 17 belongs to Aqraba. It’s a village in the area of Nablus, stated by the Palestinian Labour Union. They were gone back from work.

According to the cameras’ footage, the crash occurred when the van driver tried to make a left turn before being broadsided by the oncoming truck. the van driver turned straight towards the oncoming traffic, which left no other option for any other driver and led to an accident.
