Head of Interior and Environment Committee, “Alon Tal” said, just 15 days ago we held an urgent meeting where we discussed the issue regarding prepared Isreal for the floods and extreme rainfall because we know it will soon hit Israel, so it’s better to prepare Israel so that we can avoid many climate issues that may come with rains.

However, State Comptroller Matanyahu Engleman released a statement. He mentioned clearly that the state is not at all prepared for this kind of heavy rainfall, stating that infrastructure throughout Israel is not built so proper to survive in these heavy storms.

Rain and periodic thunderstorms are expected to continue throughout the day, with solid winds nationwide and snow on the mountain areas. The Golan Heights might also see some snow.

According to the Meteorological Service reports, there is also fear of flooding in some parts of Israel, such as coastal plains.

The massive weather in Isreal caused enormous damage in the country. In Kafr Qassem, a vehicle was stuck due to the flood on the road, trapping a man and girl while they were safe because rescue teams saved them.

Notably, a road in Petah Tikva drowned to the point where one resident had to navigate the road using a kayak.
