Saint Lucia: The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, DR Philip J Pierre celebrated the 45th year of Saint Lucia’s Independence in London United Kingdom. During the event, the Prime Minister delivered a brief address, detailing all the achievements and proud moments of the country.

PM Pierre attended the Independence Gala in the capacity of a distinguished chief guest in the Gala celebration. The event was attended by several stakeholders of United Kingdom and Saint Lucia.
The two nations enjoy a deep and strong diplomatic relationship. The Prime Minister celebrated 45 years of independence with the diaspora of Saint Lucia currently living in London.
The theme for the 45th Anniversary of Independence Gala was “Douvan Ansanm” The theme translates to “Building the nation through unity, resilience, and creativity.” The aim of the event was to include the members of the United Kingdom Diaspora into the celebration
The event was hosted by the Saint Lucia High Commission in London The officials from both the organizations were present at the event.
They gave Prime Minister Philip a special welcome and celebrated four and a half decades of the country’s independence. The event was called a historic occasion for the people of the island and living in diaspora.
The high commission of Saint Lucia in London were delighted to have Prime Minister as a part of the celebration. They noted that the presence of PM Pierre and his cabinet colleagues made the event even more special for the people of Canada.
The people of Saint Lucia living in diaspora highlighted that they were extremely happy to be a part of this celebration. During the celebration, the culture, heritage and traditions of the country were on full display for the people to enjoy.
Meanwhile, during the event, PM Pierre highlighted the significant achievements of the nation and thanked United Kingdom for their constant support and encouragement.
He expressed his gratitude to all the attendants of the independence anniversary celebration and shared that he was delighted to meet the people of Saint Lucia living in Diaspora.
