The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in the Sultanate of Oman is organizing the “Welcome Oman” event during the period from 16 to 21 October, which brings together a number of tourism workers and developers from the Arab Gulf countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait, with the aim of opening new horizons in Omani tourism.
“Welcome Oman” is part of a series of events and programs organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in the Sultanate of Oman to support and strengthen the tourism sector, increase economic growth, create job opportunities, maximize the benefit of society and its small and medium enterprises, support efforts that contribute to the development of the tourism industry, and sign many agreements and establish Joint projects, providing competitive advantages and attractive tourism packages in this aspect.
This event coincides with the promotional campaigns implemented by several government and private agencies in the Sultanate of Oman to promote the Sultanate of Oman as a tourist destination during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the sisterly State of Qatar. The “Welcome Oman” event includes many works, including bilateral meetings and discussions between the participating delegation, which represents a number of tourism companies and institutions from the Arab Gulf countries, with the participation of a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, representatives of Omani travel and tourism companies and tourist hotels, and attending a workshop through which Providing dialogues about the tourism products and components of the Sultanate of Oman. In addition, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism also organizes for the participating delegation an introductory trip to get acquainted with the tourist sites that characterize the Sultanate of Oman.
