FIFA World Cup, Qatar: Morocco stunned Portugal by a 1-0 win in the World Cup quarter-final on Saturday, December 10th and fixed their spot straight in the Semi-Finals to face Croatia.

After the astonishing win, Morocco has become the first African country to enter the World Cup semi-finals. As per the updates, the history was made when the Moroccan forward, Youssef En-Nesyri, guided the ball into the goalpost by hitting a towering header, getting past the Portuguese goalkeeper Deigo Costa in the 42nd minute of the match.

Youssef En-Nesyri, received a lofted cross by the Moroccan defender, Yahia Attiat-Allah and managed to guide it just past the Portuguese defenders; which went above the head of Diego Costa, who misread the cross and got crashed into his own defender.

Morocco has extended their dream to play in the World Cup semi-finals after its historic effort against Portugal, which is known as one of the football giants in the world.

The ongoing FIFA World Cup has been a stage of upsets and turnaround this year where the underdogs of the tournaments defeated elite favourite teams, and the win of Morocco over Portugal is yet another example of the fact that anyone can turn the tables on their day.

A similar upset was seen in the previous quarter-final of the tournament between Croatia and Brazil, where Croatia knocked out Brazil Neymar at the end of a dramatic penalty shootout by 4-2 after the score was level 1-1 at the end of the 90 minutes which ended the hope of Neymar to win the world cup for his nation because it has been speculated that it might be the last world cup appearance of him.

Followed by the dramatic wins of both Croatia and Morocco, they will face each other in the semi-finals knockouts to ensure their place in the world cup final on December 18th, and the contest will be worth watching for fans from around the world.
