Dubai introduces new law to focus on disabled people’s education and employment rights

Dubai introduced a new law that focuses on disabled people’s education, job opportunities, and rights. So, the new regulation issued in Dubai aims to safeguard the rights of people and ensure their inclusion in society.

The law also aims to include people of determination in drafting procedures and ruling that concern them or may affect their quality of life.

This law is issued by the Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE.

This law is made mainly for the rights of disabled people and relevant entities’ services. These include inclusive education at every stage, rehabilitation and job opportunities in every sector, healthcare, therapeutic and social services.

They also have a right to access all services such as worship, police registrations and legal.

Relevant commodities also need to educate disabled people to be aware of their rights, data and information through various platforms and inform them about their legal rights.

The law also aims to know about banking services and how to take advantage of banks and participate in sports and entertainment programmes according to their taste.

Due to the proper implementation of this law, the law makes the higher Committee just to protect the Rights of People of Determination.

The Chairman makes this decision of The Executive Council of Dubai will issue a decision on the formation of the Committee, which will involve people of determination and representatives of relevant entities.

This Committee is under supervision to ensure that proper implementation protects and supports disabled people.

VIOLATIONS:

According to this law, if a person with a disability is reported, their guardian, or anyone who witnesses a violation, should report the incident to relevant authorities.

The CDA has issued a card to enjoy the privilege of their rights.

If anyone who tried to violate their law also gets punished and have to pay a fine, and if the law gets repeated in the same year, the fine also gets doubled, and the penalty is Dh100,000.
