Travellers to Bahrain will refrain February from showing their negative PCR test to board flights to the country, announced by the Civil Aviation Affairs authority.
Arrivals will need to take a PCR test on departure, and unvaccinated people will need to quarantine themselves.
The daily number of cases of coronavirus country recorded last May’s which was at peak 3,000, reaching 7.853 on February 1 on Wednesday. The island state in December previous year limited non-essential activities to the people who are fully vaccinated.
Now, Bahrain relaxed their restrictions towards the quarantine requirements only for the vaccinated people and the quarantine period and its COVID-19 entry restrictions on January 6, and testing required on arrival.
Previously, travellers were required to have their test on the fifth and the tenth day of their stay in the country.
The government also reduced the cost of their PCR test reduced to 12 dinars.
Note:
- Passengers vaccinated in Bahrain are supposed to be fully vaccinated if they have the green shield on the Be Aware Application.
- Passengers not vaccinated in Bahrain are assumed fully vaccinated if they have finished 14 days after the government of the second dose in a two-dose vaccination series or finished 14 days after the management of a single dose for single-dose vaccines and offered valid proof of vaccination.
COST OF PCR TEST:
The cost of the PCR test has been reduced, and now its BHD 12 fee, which needs to be paid before the arrival through the official website, BeAware Bahrain App, through the Bahrain eGovernment Portal. On arrival at a designated airport Kiosk, card and cash payments are also accepted.
All vaccinated people need to go through from the quarantine period to those below 10.
Bahrain has signed a joint vaccination credit agreement with Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, the Kingdom of Jordan, Israel.
