The government of Saudi Arabia has declared that the Saudi citizens who wish to travel outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must need to take their third dose of COVID-19 vaccine, which will be mandatory from February 9, Wednesday, as per the reports.
People under the age of 16 are spared from this rule, and those who come under the spared category status on the Tawakkalna app.
All people coming to the Kingdom, including citizens, must show their negative PCR results, within 48 hours of their departure, regardless of their vaccination certificate. Those who come under the age of eight are excused from the testing requirement.
Meanwhile, citizens who tested positive for their COVID-19 PCR test can also be allowed to enter the Kingdom, even they do not require to show their negative PCR test reports, but only if they have passed seven days in a quarantine period. They took both doses of vaccine; the Kingdom approved it.
And if they do not take their doses and are not appropriately vaccinated, ten days have to pass before they enter the Kingdom. No further testing would be required.
The new regulations were presented in line with continuous follow-up to the epidemiological situation locally and globally and as part of the measurements being taken by the Kingdom to control the spread of COVID-19 and to safe public health.
The ministry highlighted the condition for everyone to stick to all preventive measures and the authorised health protocols while expediting the fulfilment of all approved vaccine doses.
On February 4, Friday, the Ministry of Health declared 3,555 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 4,023 recoveries in the last 24 hours, and the critical cases reached 1,042.
That got the total number of infections in the nation to 702,624. However, the recovery tally reached 657,995. The ministry also reported one death, taking the number of fatalities to 8,950.
