Kuwait witnesses massive number of daily-suicides

The term “Your Life is Precious” is not acceptable in Kuwait as the cases of suicide are increasing day by day in the country, and especially suicide attempted by the Indian-Kuwaiti people as per the sources, the reason behind the risen in suicide cases is estimated that more people are jobless due to COVID-19.

COVID-19 cases are also spreading in the nation. As per the statement by Association President ‘Abdullah Al-Radwan’, the community needs to be aware to curb this phenomenon, stating that they took this initiative after a sudden rise in the cases of suicide.

Al-Radwan emphasised the importance of intensifying community cooperation to gain the initiative’s efforts, which seeks to limit the hassle of this negative phenomenon, indicating that the association was quick to invite authority and civil agencies to participate in it.

He further explained that the reason for a rise in suicide cases is linked to psychological disorders, social isolation and weak religious faith, drug addiction, and the danger of electronic games.

Concerning the execution mechanism, he addressed the process of indicating the mechanism and working to prevent it before it occurred and carried out through several methods, including communication with all embassies and allocating books in all languages to spread awareness on the risk of depression.

Al-Radwan said that there would be an advertising campaign and the dissemination of information about the startup to spread on the various social media platforms and the training courses with experienced social and psychological specialists.

He showed the need to address this intrusive phenomenon with complete transparency to find the path to treat and eradicate it and prevent a similar phenomenon and expressed his thanks towards the authority and civil government participating in his startup.
