The Kingdom of Bahrain is proud of the inherent spirit of giving in its children and residents who contribute to the rejection of the central blood bank through blood donation campaigns on various religious and national occasions, especially during Ashura season, By which the Kingdom has become self-sufficient blood bank stocks.

This came during her scrutiny visit with Dr Lawwa Rashid Shaweter, the Chief Executive of Primary Health Care Centers, Chairman of the Coordinating Committee for the Ashura Season 1444 AH, to the Imam Hussein Blood Donation Campaign in the 24th edition, on its second day.

Al-Hajri conveyed her greetings to Her Excellency Dr Jalila, daughter of Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, and Dr Walid Khalifa Al-Mani, Deputy of the Ministry of Health, expressing gratitude and appreciation to those behind this campaign and to the donors, and emphasizing on the keenness of the health sector to secure all requirements and needs to survive H season in order to keep everyone healthy and safe.

Al-Hajri said the campaign had collected 500 bags of blood in addition to consecutive years from the Central Blood Bank donated blood of volunteers on occasion, which cumulatively reached more than 15,000 bags since the campaign launched.

It followed that the Kingdom of Bahrain takes pride in such campaigns, which are held annually, to honour and reflect the spirit of giving, national and humanitarian solidarity, and are one of the most important key supplies to cover the needs of the central blood bank in order to serve all patients in the Kingdom.

In this regard, Dr Fadel Al-Nashit, Chairman of the Supreme Committee organized for the Imam Hussein Blood Donation Campaign, raised his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Health, and all officials in the ministry for their continued cooperation by coordinating with the Central Blood Bank in an initiative reflecting keenness to achieve Community partnership and emphasizes the importance of these campaigns organized on All year round. The blood bank has different blood types.

He noted that these campaigns represent a model of humanitarian solidarity to help the needy without discrimination and embody the noble values enjoyed by Bahrainis.

On his part, Mr Hamid Youssef Rahma, the president of Al-Naeim Charity Association, confirmed that the Association is proud of this campaign, which is the cradle of its launch, which next year will record a quarter of a century of giving, thanks to the cooperation of various institutions in promoting organized work and which constitutes a sustainable factor of these charity initiatives See and evolve her giving.
