Bahrain Health Council held a meeting to discuss health-related updates

Bahrain: The Supervisory Council of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control held yesterday, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, the seventh meeting of the Health Council of the States of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh, with the participation of Dr. Maryam Al-Hajri, Assistant Proxy for Public Health, representing Bermal As big as the seas.

Bahrain: The Supervisory Council of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control held yesterday, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, the seventh meeting of the Health Council of the States of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh, with the participation of Dr. Maryam Al-Hajri, Assistant Proxy for Public Health, representing Bermal As big as the seas.

The meeting discussed the 2023 Executive Plan presented by the Centre’s Executive President, Dr Pasi Pantenin, and the objectives and mechanisms of the plan, which all works in favour of the peoples and health institutions in the CCC countries. The latest update on monkey pox was also reviewed.

The establishment of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control is reported to be endorsed by His Majesty and Highness, the leaders of the Council of Cooperation countries, when it was promoted to the Supreme Council in its 41st session (Alala, January 2021), where leaders agreed to establish the “Gulf Center for Disease Prevention & Control” Ha, and activating it quickly to coordinate the Gulf joint action in Public and preventive health, and it should be a Gulf observatory to monitor the spread of epidemics, and the centre should be under the umbrella of the Health Council of the Arab Gulf States.
