Libya’s Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation launches a new website mainly for labours. This website will be helpful for the government to bring back all the foreign labourers into the country.
The name of the website is the WAFED website. According to the Ministry, this is the only official platform that can help millions of labours to come back into the country effectively and efficiently. They also said that the Wafed platform provides legal protection for workers wishing to work in Libya.
Bringing back labours through this website will ensure the worker’s security and insurance and their health certificate.
The process also acknowledges that any development needs to happen in Libya. Foreign labour is required, and the government has recognized that it needs to organize and facilitate the procedure.
The Ministry invites all companies and immigrant workers to register on the platform by giving them a link to register themselves.
RESEARCH:
The WAFED foreign labour registration website is a huge step by the foreign labour government into Libya. On an extreme level, workers have arrived in Libya without any restrictions and process on them.
This is possible only with this website WAFED. These are usually part of a system guarded and operated by Libyan security forces and militias. They are often part of the illegal migrant flow to Europe and use Libya as a stepping stone en route.
According to critics government has transcended by foreign Libyan organizations to pay health care and insurance for foreign employees. At the same time, they feel that the government should be focused first on ensuring the registration process of foreign labours.
Similarly, critics believe that if the government does not restrict the gush of illegal foreign migrant workers from Sub-Saharan Africa, it will discourage the use of more expensive and officially registered workers.
Furthermore, for the more technically capable foreign technicians and engineers, the new system should prove very useful for trade businesses only when the central government Bank of Libya transfers the registered worker’s wages at the official exchange rate.
