Kuwait City: The Public Relations and Media Department of the Public Fire Services reported a collision between two vehicles on Al-Wafra Road on Monday evening, reports Al-Rai daily. The administration said the Al-Kut fire brigade dealt with the accident.
According to the sources in Kuwait, a young woman who was inside the car wreck was rescued and rushed to the hospital immediately, where doctors gave her intensive care.
There is also one more incident where two immigrants who work in a printing who sustained separate injuries after the man behind the wheel lost control and with the shop facade in Hawalli Monday evening.
The department stated that the Hawally fire brigade dealt with the accident, and an ambulance took the injured men to the hospital.
In 2019, Kuwait’s total number of road traffic accidents was approximately 13 thousand, down from about 99 thousand in 2014.
However, the United States of America has a prominent record of the highest number of road accidents globally. The country recorded 2.21 million accidents in 2018, resulting in 37,461 deaths and around 3 million people injured.
Human error is top of the list of causes of 95% of all RTAs, so it seems ultimate that drivers are the main problem.

- Avoiding Safety Gear like Seat belts and Helmets.
- Non-adherence to lane driving and overtaking in a wrong manner.
A total of 4,37,396 road accident cases were reported during 2019. Road accident cases in the country have decreased from 4,45,514 in 2018 to 4,37,396 in 2019 [Table- 1A. 1]. The fatalities in road accidents have increased by 1.3% (from 1,52,780 in 2018 to 1,54,732 in 2019).
About 450,000 accidents take place in India annually, of which 150,000 people die. “India has the highest number of road injuries due to road accidents,” said the report. “There are 53 road accidents in the country every hour and one death every four minutes.”
