Dubai: As numbers of new Covid-19 cases have decreased and restrictions have eased, more individuals have begun using public transportation. In order to cater to the demand, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is resuming four intercity bus services from May 19 to meet the demand.

According to Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development, RTA, the four intercity bus routes that will be resumed from Dubai are E100 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Abu Dhabi, E201 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Ain, E315 from Etisalat Metro Station to Muwaileh, Sharjah, and E700 from Etihad Bus Station to Fujairah.

Moreover, a new route will begin service from Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station from May 19 onwards. The F38 metro link will go through several districts before arriving at Dubai Sports City.

It will start operating at 6 in the morning and will run until 12:30 at the night (of the following day), at a frequency of 20 minutes.

Routes 50 and N30 will be extended all the way to the International City Bus Station.

Furthermore, he also went on to say that on the same date, RTA will introduce changes to some routes. It will extend Route 50 and Route N30 to reach the International City Bus Station, improve the frequency of combining Route D03 and D03A to be Route D03 only, and extend Route 367 to pass through the School of Research Science.”

Requests obtained from various entities in the emirate are subjected to elaborate feasibility analyses and comprehensive field surveys before the launch of the service,” concluded Shakeri.
