Dubai: After a procedure, a man was fined Dh5,000 for defaming and insulting a hair transplant clinic in Dubai.
As per the Dubai Court of First Instance, the 37 years old defendant was undergone for a hair transplant at the clinic in Bur Dubai, but he left his surgery in the middle of the procedure, claiming that the doctor did not know how to do it.
He then went out of the room to the reception area, shouted at the staff and told the customers to leave, advising them not to have their hair transplant here in this clinic.
As per the records, he also tweeted about the incident, warning people against having a hair transplant at the clinic.
The marketing director at the clinic testified that the defendant claimed the doctor didn’t know transplant techniques. The person insulted the clinic’s staff, called them robbers, and wanted to recover his money; it was alleged.
‘He threatened the people’
He (the defendant) came outside the operation room before getting finish the transplant process, claiming the doctor, arguing the doctor didn’t know how to take out hair strands. He was screaming and threatening the customers before he left the clinic, said the director in official records.
He also tried defaming the clinic by posting a tweet and adding the director.
The transplant technique involves taking the hair strands from one part of the scalp, usually starting from the back or sides, and implanting them into hairless areas.
However, the Man fined Dh5,000 for defaming Dubai hair transplant cliniccame back to the clinic the next day and screamed at the receptionist, saying they had scammed him. He again requested customers to leave.
The director tried to calm him, but he refused and called the police.
Police reached the clinic and told the defendant to approach Dubai Health Authority if he wanted to file a complaint.
The defendant refused to insult the clinic. He told the clinic to file a case against him after launching a complaint with the authorities.
Dubai Public Prosecution blamed the defendant for defaming the director of the clinic.
The court called the defendant to pay a fine of Dh5,000.
