Dubai: One of the Ethiopian maids has been sentenced to death in Kuwait for killing her Indian coworker following a row over house duties, as reported by local media.
The Court of Appeals discovered the woman guilty of stabbing to death her Indian colleague.
This crime happened the last year, on the first day of Ramadan, following a dispute between them over housework.
Soon after the incident was reported to the police by the side of the victim’s sponsor, security men, investigators and personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department rushed to the house. They took the suspect into custody after capturing the weapon used in the crime.
In her confession, the charge stated that the incident happened due to an issue between her and the victim over the allocation of work in the kitchen.
As per the case file, the operations unit for the Interior Ministry received a report a few minutes before the breaking of fast a citizen who told his two home workers had a fight, leading to the death of one of them.
The Farwaniya inquiry officers charged the Ethiopian in the Al-Balagh site, where they discovered the knife that she used to commit the crime.
During interrogation, the defendant admitted to killing her coworker. In her initial confession, the accused stated that the incident happened due to problems between her and the victim due to the distribution of work in the kitchen.
He was allegedly stabbed in the chest by his colleague at work, and this all started from differences between them which started with an argument.
