A young man travelling from India to Mecca on foot to perform Hajj, a young Indian (Shihab) from the far south of India sets off on foot for a journey to the Holy Land to perform Hajj in 2023 AD.
Shihab is set to pass through Pakistan, Iran, then Iraq, then Kuwait and finally Saudi Arabia, aiming to reach Mecca before Hajj in 2023.
The young Indian explained that his preparation for the trip took nearly six months, as he spent in the Indian capital New Delhi hesitating about the country’s embassies passing through for procedures.
About deciding to walk to Mecca, Shihab says, “I have been planning for Hajj by foot since my nails were soft, Alhamdulillah thanks to Allah then my mother’s invitation Allah fulfilled my wish and have completed all the procedures, Insha Allah will start the journey from Kerala on 2nd June 2022″ getting my feet on to Holy Mecca”.
Shihab pointed out that many people promised him help on the way of his journey, confirming that the journey is very long and takes months, and hoped that whoever he met on the way to host him with the arrangement of housing and accommodation for the sake of God.
He says that he wants to continue his journey uninterrupted until he reaches.
Moreover, he plans to walk 8,640 kilometers to be a part of Haj 2023. With the journey scheduled to start on July 2, he is expected to complete the trip in 280 days. An intense desire to travel on foot to Mecca led him to the decision, Shihab says.
