The Saudi ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, praised the Lebanese security forces’ disclosure of the circumstances of the murder of a Saudi citizen in the southern suburbs of Beirut and the arrest of the two killers.
Bukhari said in a tweet to him on his Twitter account: “I highly value the efforts of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces and all its members and leadership in order to discover the facts and get the perpetrators to justice in the killing of the backstabbed Saudi citizen who was killed in the southern suburb of Beirut.”
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division had issued a report on Sunday evening about the murder of a Saudi man who was stabbed with a knife and took place on Saturday evening, and that “as a result of the follow-up and investigations carried out by the competent units, it was found that my murdered brother committed the crime for family and personal reasons, and then they fled to one side.” Unidentified, they are of Saudi nationality.
The report added: “On Sunday, information was available about the presence of the two offenders in one of the apartments, and instantly, their whereabouts were intruded by a patrol from the Burj Al-Barajneh faction with the help of a joint force from the suburb’s secret units, where they were charged and the crime instrument seized.
By interrogating them, they confessed that they had killed their brother for family reasons. The arrested and arrested persons were referred to the relevant division, and the investigation is under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
