Dr Ahmed Ibrahim, a political expert and one of Odeh’s friends, said that the death of Jihad Odeh was discovered after more than 24 hours had passed, noting that the late had been staying alone for some days at his home in Mokattam, explaining that his family was surprised by the news.

The poet Zine El Abidine and the neighbour of the late Egyptian thinker, wrote through his Facebook account that the body of the late was found after his death alone in Mokattam, Cairo, and he may have died since last Wednesday.

Jihad Odeh is the son of the thinker Abd Al-Malik Odeh, who left a great legacy in political science. He is a writer, political analyst and professor of political sciences at Helwan University.

His articles are published in many Egyptian and Arab newspapers, and he owns many books on political analysis and political science.
