The fire killed the husband, Khalil Ibrahim, 36, and his wife, Walaa Jaber Ahmed, 34, and their three children sustained various injuries, including burns and fractures throughout the body.

Major General Khaled Al-Barawi, Assistant Minister, Director of Security in Alexandria, had received a notification from the Dekheila Police Department’s warden, stating that a fire had broken out in an apartment in another property on Al-Qawiri Street in Hannoville.

The examination revealed that a fire broke out in an apartment on the fifth floor of the aforementioned property, which resulted in the injury of 3 people from one family, and they were transferred to Al-Ajami Hospital to receive the necessary treatment.

The inspection revealed that the contents of the apartment had been devoured by the fire, and the forensic team began examining the site of the fire to determine its causes.

Eyewitnesses said that the father threw his children from the fifth floor so that the neighbours could grab them on mattresses and save them, children.

A later notification was received to the department from Al-Ajami Hospital stating the death of two of the injured, Khalil Ibrahim Khalil Al-Suwaifi, 36, and Walaa Jaber Ahmed, 34, the “husband and wife.”

The necessary report was edited at the Dekheila Police Department, and the Public Prosecution began the investigation.
