Dubai: The Hatta Police Station surprised students in the jurisdiction area on the first week of the academic year, offering them gifts and a ride in the force’s famous luxury patrols.
The gesture is part of the Dubai Police ‘Schools Security’ initiative that aims at strengthening the community partnership between the police, students and educational institutions. It was carried out in cooperation with the Land Ports Passports Control Department of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and the Community Development Authority-Hatta branch.
Colonel Mubarak Al Ketbi, director of Hatta Police Station, reaffirmed the keenness of the Dubai Police General Command on the importance of educating all community members about traffic, community, and criminal police programs and services.
He also stressed the importance of partnerships with educational institutions, whether in the security, social, cultural, or health aspects, to ensure our future generations are safe, secure, happy, and prosperous.
Col. Al Ketbi pointed out that educating students requires innovative, entertaining, and educational methods that attract this category to ensure the smooth delivery of awareness messages.
He indicated that the Hatta Police Station, in cooperation with the General Traffic Department, would increase the number of patrols across school zones to maintain traffic flow and organize awareness lectures for the students.
Hatta students also met Dubai Police mascots ‘Amna’ and ‘Mansoor,’ who shared some safety tips in a child-friendly manner, distributed back-to-school gifts, and took some photos with the pupils.
