Egypt: An Egyptian student died at the hands of her teacher because of a spelling mistake after he hit her on the head with a stick, which led to her severe bleeding and death.
The Egyptian city of Sinbillawain witnessed a tragic incident where a girl breathed her last on Sunday evening after her teacher hit her with a wooden stick on her head due to a spelling error.
In the details, the 9-year-old student, Basmalah Osama Ali Muhammad, died in intensive care at the University Emergency Hospital in Mansoura, northern Egypt, from a brain hemorrhage as a result of being beaten.
The teacher hit the girl, who was in the primary stage at Taranes Al Arab School, after asking her to write some words on the board, but she made a mistake in writing.
After that, he punished her by hitting her with a stick on her head, which led to her bleeding and concussion, and she was taken to the hospital, where she remained until she breathed her last.
For his part, the girl’s father accused the teacher of killing his daughter, adding that his daughter, upon returning home, fell unconscious and was taken to Sinbillawain Central Hospital, and it was found that she had fallen into a coma after suffering a severe brain hemorrhage.
In turn, the Sinbillawain Investigation Department arrested the teacher, who said that he did not mean to injure the girl.
And the governor of Dakahlia, Ayman Mukhtar, decided to suspend the teacher from work for a period of 3 months and refer him to an immediate investigation and to exclude the school director for his failure to take legal measures regarding the incident and for not informing the responsible authorities.
