Jordanian PM Bashar Al Khasaouna meets PM Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani of Qatar (image credits Facebook)

Jordan: The Prime Minister of Jordan, Dr Bashar Al-Khasaouna, attended a meeting in Doha, Qatar with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Monday, April 10, 2023. The leaders discussed the distinctive fraternal relations between the two sister countries, the horizons of expanding cooperation, as well as developments in the situation in the region and issues of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister, Dr Bashar Al Khasaouna, accompanied by the Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani has affirmed the historical and fraternal relations that have bound Jordan and the State of Qatar for all these years.

During the discussions, increased cooperation in various economic, investment and development spheres between both nations was emphasized in accordance with integrated work plans that reflect good and benefit the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. Both nations hold deep, longstanding ties with each other, reports added.

Furthermore, it was pointed out that the commitment of the governments of the two countries to work and build on the outcomes of the summit was gathered by King Abdullah II and Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha. Prime Minister of Jordan, Al-Khasaouna, during the discussions attended by several ministers and officials from both sides, turned to the respect and love that the Jordanian people have for their sister state Qatar.

On his part, Prime Minister Al Khasaouna also praised the important role of the State of Qatar in the region and in serving Arab issues. The Prime Minister presented the vision of Jordan’s comprehensive renewal, emphasizing that implementing the targets of the economic renewal vision requires increasing investment horizons and empowering the private sectors.

Meanwhile, he added that the private sector would also assist and contribute to promoting economic growth and reducing unemployment, noting the importance of increased private sector cooperation and networking in the two countries to explore available opportunities and areas of cooperation in both countries.

PM Al-Khasaouna pointed out the measures taken by the government to regulate and strengthen the investment environment to become more competitive and attractive to domestic, Arab and foreign investments, citing that Qatari investments are welcome in Jordan and supported by the government.

Al-Khasaouna, the Prime Minister of the sister state of Qatar, Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, congratulated his appointment as the Prime Minister last month, wishing him success and success in serving the sister country of Qatar and its dear people, commemorating the renaissance that the State of Qatar is witnessing in various areas.

For his part, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister stressed the particular and fraternal relations that unite the State of Qatar with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Lafta, the special position enjoyed by Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince of the leadership and the people of Qatar.

He emphasized the keenness to promote cooperation to broader horizons, confirming that Jordan-Qatar relations are fraternal relations built on solid foundations. He confirmed that Qatar’s investments in Jordan are essential, and we look forward to it increasing and expanding in many areas.
