Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew – Prime Minister who also serves as the Minister of Health of St Kitts and Nevis, extended his heartiest congratulations and best regards to the healthcare workers of the nation on the auspicious occasion of International Nurses Day yesterday, 12TH May 2023.
Prime Minister addressed the significant contribution that the nurses have been putting to serve the nation with medical practises through his official Facebook account.
According to the shared updates, while extending his greetings to the healthcare workers of St Kitts and Nevis, Prime Minister Terrance Drew uploaded a congratulatory post on his official social media account. In his message, he conveyed that nurses are an integral part of the healthcare sector who put themselves on the line to save patients’ lives.
On the special occasion, the Prime Minister of the Caribbean country also acknowledged the significant role of healthcare workers and nurses working day and night dedicated to serving fellow St Kittians and Nevisians with the best medical treatments. He noted that “Our nurses, our future”.
Meanwhile, he also expressed immense gratitude and joy while addressing the nation regarding International Nurses Day. He said, “Our Nurses continuously contribute significantly to the achievements of the priority areas of the Ministry of Health.”
During his address, Prime Minister Terrance Drew also shared that the immense hard work and amazing contributions that the nurses and midwives have been showcasing on a daily basis are commendable and highly praised.
Furthermore, it was also stated that the Prime Minister committed to supporting and uplifting the healthcare sector of the Twin Island Federation in order to assist the nurses in their jobs while providing them required infrastructure and facilities.
He extended his remarks and added that “I hereby commit to doing all in my power to work collaboratively and cooperatively to promote and enhance the nursing profession.”
Moreover, the update also stated that as the Minister of Health of St Kitts and Nevis, PM Terrance Drew has been working tirelessly to enhance the entire healthcare infrastructure with timely introductions of the new machinery and instruments.
In his address, he also cited that nursing is a noble profession that has been the country’s backbone and a matter of pride for the government.
