Egypt: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt has stated the continuation of travel and tourism from Serbia to Marsa Matrouh. Air Serbia has begun the flights to carry the travellers to their destinations in cooperation with the Serbian Tour Organizers. Around 300 tourists have arrived at the destination, and the flights will continue weekly until the end of September.
According to the latest reports, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities officials have taken to its official social media account to share the information with the local citizens. The shared update read, “Air Serbia operates flights to Marsa Matrouh in cooperation with a Serbian flight organizer.”
In addition, it was also stated that “In the framework of the efforts made by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation to promote the Egyptian tourist destination in various tourist markets.” Meanwhile, the “Serbian market also includes significant growth during the summer tourist season; Air Serbia has begun flights from Serbia to Marsa Matrouh in cooperation with the Serbian tour organizers.” Reports added.
On his part, Mr Amr Al-Qadi, the Executive Chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation, pointed out that these trips came in the framework of the efforts made by the Ministry of Tourism. He also stated that the monuments in the Egyptian General Authority of Tourism Activation promote Egyptian tourist destinations worldwide.
Moreover, implementing joint promotional campaigns to position the Alameen Region, the North Coast and Marsa Matrouh Ali on the map of tourism arriving from the Balkans region, especially since Serbia is the gateway to that region, said officials.
It is noteworthy that Ambassador Basil Salah, Egypt’s ambassador to Belgrade, held a major ceremony at the headquarters of the Egyptian Embassy in mid-May to inaugurate these flights, which will increase the number of tourists arriving from Serbia to Egypt, especially to the city of Marsa Matrouh.
