The Foreign Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Denzil Llewellyn Douglas, attended the Caribbean Investment Forum held from October 23 to 25. The event was organised at Nassau, Bahamas as CIF2023.

Denzil Llewellyn Douglas, while attending the Forum on the second day, described the uniqueness of small island nations of the Caribbean as well as the challenges being faced by this tiny nation in the global FDI(Foreign Direct  Investment) market.

During his address, he highlighted the close collaboration among these island countries. This collaboration is the need of the hour to attract a great amount of investment. Moreover, the collective efforts of the Caribbean countries will pave the way for a larger share of foreign direct investment in the region.

Denzil Llewellyn Douglas underscored how the government of St Kitts and Nevis made policies and rules, regulations to enhance the flow of foreign direct investment in the country. He further added that due to consistent efforts of the government, the sugar-based economy of the country is now known for tourism, services, information and communication technology and for the CBI programme.

It is to be specifically mentioned that CIF Forum 2023 aimed to provide better investment opportunities to investors from all corners of the world. Investors can find various opportunities to invest in the number of bankable projects spread across the Caribbean region.

In this three-day event, more than 600 delagates got a chance to hear from the experts of the industry, key decision makers, and stakeholders on the awaiting investment opportunity.  Investors can invest in the key sectors as the Caribbean region is in the transition phase to become a greener, smarter part of the earth.
