Two policemen lost their lives in a clash with Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq’s central province of Salahudin. The skirmish occurred in an agricultural area near the town of al-Mutassim, approximately 100 kilometers north of the capital, Baghdad.

According to Mohammed al-Bazi, a spokesperson from the media office of the provincial police command, the clash erupted between a federal police force and three IS militants.
