St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew met with George Edmund David, who recently turned 103 and celebrated his birthday. He took to social media and shared the glimpses from his birthday celebrations.
While sharing the snippets from his 103rd celebration, PM Drew expressed that he took the opportunity to wish George Edmund David a very Happy 103rd birthday. He added that it is a tremendous feat by an exemplary human being.
Dr. Drew also wished well to George E. David and said that he wishes him God’s blessings and more birthdays to come.
Reportedly, David is the eldest man alive in St. Kitts and Nevis and it is an honour that he was able to pass through stages of life and survive these so many years.
Last year, on August 29, he celebrated his 102nd birthday. Edmund lives in Stapleton Village of St. Peter’s and celebrated his longevity and for his contributions within his community and the wider St. Kitts and Nevis society over the years.
The celebrations were hosted by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew of which David was a member and was held at the Poinciana Restaurant in Frigate Bay.
Governor General – Dame Marcella Liburd, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, Minister of State with responsibility for Ageing – Isalean Philip and the President of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew – Cedric Liburd joined the celebrations along with the family members, close friends and other important members of the Brotherhood, for celebrating Edmund’s milestone.
Prime Minister Dr. Drew, as a parliamentary Representative for the St. Peter’s community, expressed that the words of congratulations to George Edmund Davis on attaining the milestone of 102 years of life and living.
PM Drew also served as Edmund’s Medical Doctor and described him as a fighter after he overcame a tremendous illness just a few years ago. He said that they know when one gets to that age and survive the things, it’s not just about the medication but t means that one has the will to live, faith in God and the Support that he gets from his church.
He mentioned that Edmund is really a testimony of a lot of ‘TLC’ tender loving care, from all those around him.
