Dominica: Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit acknowledged the rehabilitation work of Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard. He shared the glimpses of the progress work on his official social media page.

Reportedly, the place has been reconstructed after the years of significant damage from storms surge and high tides. The Government of Dominica has embarked on the project now.
Highlighting the achievement, PM Skerrit expressed that they appreciate the patience and support as they work towards a smoother and safer Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard.
Prime Minister of Dominica further stated that they believe in encouraging all drivers and pedestrians to remain cautious while passing through or going in the construction zones. He urged the residents to adhere to the posted signs and temporary detours.
Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard is a prominent place of Roseau, Dominica. It is a historical landmark and the most attractive centre to conduct economic and social activities. The place is flanked by significant institutions such as the Dominica Museum, general Post Office, High Court of Justice, Dominica Export Import agency and the Roseau Ferry Terminal.
Boulevard connects and links Dominica’s popular streets such as Victoria Street, Cork Street and Hillsborough Street. The network of roads facilitates efficient transportation and enhances the accessibility of various parts of the city.
Notably, Dame Eugenia Charles Boulevard is a testament to the legacy of Dominica’s first female Prime Minister ‘Dame Mary Eugenia Charles’. She is also known as ‘Iron Lady of the Caribbean’, who led Dominica under the Dominica Freedom Party from year 1980 to 1995.
She played a crucial role in stabilizing and developing the nation during her tenure. Her leadership and policies have made a lasting impact on the political and social fabric of Dominica.
The landmark is complete almost and will be available for the regular use soon. the construction work is in progress and will soon receive an official launch.
