St. Kitts and Nevis: The Federal Cabinet members observed a reception ceremony on the arrival of American Airlines at the KayanJet Lounge. The ceremony was held to celebrate the 20 years of non-stop service from Miami to St. Kitts.
The partnership of two-decade between the federation and the airline, marked a significant milestone.
It was an auspicious occasion which provided the opportunity to members of the Federal Cabinet to express themselves and acknowledge the American Airlines for maintaining the longstanding relationship.
The Federal Cabinet is led by Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew and The Tourism Minister Marsha T. Henderson, these are also the stakeholders in the tourism sector.
Considering this, PM Drew has shared a note in which he praised the efforts put by Marsha Henderson and her team, he mentioned that in the year 2024, St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded arrival of 129, 248 passengers at the airport.
Whereas, during the same period in year 2023 St. Kitts and Nevis recorded 104, 021 passengers. According to PM Drew the increase in number of tourists reflects the efforts of the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) government’s Tourism Ministry, led by Marsha Henderson and her team.
The arrival of American Airlines was witnessed at the Kayan Jet Lounge, at St. Kitts’ Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw (RLB) International Airport. The place offers a unique take on the modern airport lounge.
Kayan Jet is located adjacent to the main terminal building in Basseterre. The world class Kayan Jet Lounge has been exquisitely designed to offer and deliver seamless, guest-centered services to both private jet and commercial passengers.
Following this achievement, many people supported the great works done by the Ministry of Tourism and the Minister Marsha T. Henderson. People filled the comment section with positive responses.
A social media user Zeke Percival commented, “That’s great and we could have more visitors coming to St. Kitts and Nevis, if only we can get our golf course back in the shape it was before 2018 until now.”
