St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew expressed his happiness on attending the launch ceremony of the Electronic Vehicles Maintenance Certification Course and acknowledge the program. The ceremony was facilitated by Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.
Reportedly, it was organized by the government of St. Kitts and Nevis as a part of the Sustainable Island State Agenda, which is currently facilitating it as a training for key persons on Electronic Vehicles.
The Electronic Vehicles Maintenance Certification Course supported by C.F. Bryant College will engage individuals in three parts of training, consisting of:
- Awareness
- Repair
- Certification
The launch ceremony of the Electronic Vehicles training course was witnessed by the Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew and Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Geoffrey Hanley on Wednesday, Jan 15, 2025. They were conjoined by the other key officials from Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, who needed to be fully updated on the outline of the course and the progress of the participants.
Following his visit, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew shared the photographs from the event on his official social media handle. While sharing his pictures with Deputy PM Geoffrey Hanley, PM Dr. Drew expressed that he was happy to see the launch of the Electronic Vehicles Maintenance Certification Course which was facilitated by the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.
He further explained through his statement that they are building the way to a sustainable island state where EV vehicles or Electronic Vehicles will become more available.
Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew also said that their technicians must be prepared in advance for the future and the time is now. He extended his gratitude and thanked everyone who were involved in making this an important program possible.
Deputy PM Dr. Geoffrey Hanley also expressed his views on this program. He said that under the leadership of Dr. Terrance Drew, the labour administration is steadfast in its commitment to sustainable development of the nation with a focus on technical training.
He highlighted that the training opportunity will empower the citizens who in turn will drive the nation’s technological advancement. As they are equipping the citizens with the skills and knowledge that are required to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving global technological landscape.
Hanley also said that as a forward-thinking government, they will remain dedicated to charting the right course for the development of the nation, thereby moving closer towards becoming a sustainable island state.
