Saudi Arabian forces destroyed a ballistic missile released by the Houthi militia and aimed for Khamis Mushait, which is located near Abha in the kingdom’s southwest, according to a statement released by the Arab coalition on Monday.

The Arab alliance has warned that any further attempts by the militia to target civilians will be greeted with a resounding reaction.

“We will take decisive steps to remove threats in compliance with international humanitarian law,” according to a statement broadcast on Al Ekhbariya television.

This comes after the coalition shot down three ballistic missiles that were aimed towards the Saudi capital of Riyadh on December 7.
The activities of the Houthis against civilians have been criticised on numerous occasions by the leadership of the Kingdom, which has stated that the attacks are comparable to war crimes.

Following an uptick in cross-border strikes against Saudi Arabia in recent days, the coalition has increased its efforts to target Houthi military targets, according to the coalition.

A series of raids on the Yemeni governorate of Marib prompted coalition airstrikes on Sunday, which resulted in the deaths of more than 200 Houthi rebels.

The Arab alliance also stated that it carried out three operations near the western shore to assist forces tasked with safeguarding people from attack. The strikes resulted in the devastation of two insurgent vehicles and the deaths of 15 militants.

After seizing control of the capital in 2014, the militia has been engaged in a conflict with Yemen’s internationally recognised government, which is backed by a coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
