Kuwait allows women that they can combat, but sans guns. Activists have decried the policy as “one step forward, two steps back” after that defence ministry also decided that women who want to join the armed force or already the armed force must wear head coverings, unlike civilians.

However, women are outraged after the decision made by the defence ministry of Kuwait, having allowed female soldiers in combat roles, decided that they need to take permission from the male guardian as well as ban them from carrying weapons.
