Dubai: As per the reports, Kuwait’s Ministry of Health gave the statement that the government of Kuwait would be back with the Iftar tents this Ramdan together with other activities, including Iftar campaigns for the fasting persons.
According to ‘Buthaina Al Mudhaf’, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health Affairs, they made this step after Kuwait overcame the recent COVID-19 wave and the non-stop improvements of indicators of the epidemiological situation in the country.
She further highlighted that the preventative health teams would be responsible for monitoring the epidemiological situation in the country, adding that the current situation gives relief to resume the activities of Ramadan.
Last week, the ministries of Kuwait were permitted to open all mosques. They said it would be normal again, especially during Ramadan, where worshipers will be allowed to pray just like in the days before the pandemic, without following any restrictions, like social distancing, using sanitisers before entering, wearing masks and all.
As per the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, ‘Fard Emadi’, the Ministry of Awqaf has made its plan for Ramadan, and lectures will be allowed to be held across mosques.
As part of the government’s newly introduced measures to ease curbs, Worshippers in Kuwait mosques no longer follow any kind of physical distancing. A ban on in-person events, such as conferences, training courses, weddings and funerals, has also been dumped under the new measures that took effect on February 20.
Dr. Ibrahimi Al-Jarwan, member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences and chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society, announced that the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia is set to take place on Saturday, April 2, 2022.
Fasting hours will reach about 14 hours, starting with 13 hours and 40 minutes and reaching 14 hours and 20 minutes at the end of Ramadan, Al-Jarwan added.
