Kuwait: The political consultations session between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Spain was carried out under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Majdi Al-Dhafiri, and His Excellency the Minister of State for Foreign and Global Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union in the Kingdom of Spain, Mrs Angelis Moreno.

Yesterday in the morning, Wednesday, June 8, 2022, a political consultation session was held in Madrid between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Spain, in which the Kuwaiti side was chaired by His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Majdi Ahmed Al-Dhafiri, and the Spanish side was chaired by His Excellency the Minister of State for Foreign and International Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union. In the Kingdom of Spain, Mrs. Ángeles Moreno Pau.

During the session, the distinguished process of friendship between the two countries was reviewed, and the development achieved, and the two sides affirmed their determination to work according to a specific and chronic plan to move it, reflecting its depth and rooting in all political, economic, investment, cultural and other fields.

The session also dealt with the efforts made by the State of Kuwait to exempt its citizens from the Schengen visa, as the two sides expressed pleasure with what has been achieved in this framework so far and their determination to work together to complete the remaining procedures for the exemption to enter into force. Ambassador Al-Dhafiri expressed appreciation for the role played Spain played in order to achieve this goal. For her part, Mrs Angels Moreno Pau affirmed the Kingdom of Spain’s full support for exempting Kuwaiti citizens from the Schengen visa and Spain’s endeavour to complete the procedures as soon as possible.

The session also dealt with a review of the situation in the regional and international arenas.
