Battle has begun, Mortada Mansour’s first comment on ruling on his imprisonment

Mortada Mansour, president of the Egyptian club Zamalek, commented on the ruling issued against him yesterday, Wednesday, with a month in prison.

Mortada Mansour, president of the Egyptian club Zamalek, commented on the ruling issued against him yesterday, Wednesday, with a month in prison.

The Egyptian Economic Misdemeanors Court of Appeal, headed by Counselor Adham Fahim, sentenced Mortada Mansour to one month in prison and fined him 10,000 pounds in Case No. 83 of 2021, economic misdemeanours filed by the Public Prosecution, based on a complaint by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, President of Al-Ahly of Egypt, on charges of insulting and defaming him and insulting his family’s reputation.

Mortada Mansour said in statements on the media: “This ruling has no effect on my presidency of the Zamalek club. I will not comment on the rulings of the judiciary. All rulings are respected.”

He continued, “No matter how provocative I am, I will not comment on the court rulings. The law says that any imprisonment from 24 hours to three months can be spent at home or in the hospital.”

He continued: “What is happening will not shake a hair from my head. King Farouk is the only one who managed to escape from him because I was not present at the time. When I entered the prison, I was inside it as a ruler and forced everyone to wake up at nine in the morning.”

Mortada Mansour stressed, saying: “My message to Al-Khatib, from today, there is no concession or reconciliation, and the serious battle between you and me has begun and will continue for a lifetime, and last April I obtained an innocence from the same judge.”

The president of the Cairo club concluded his statements, saying: “We have completed two deals during the past two days.

The Zamalek Council will sign the strongest deals in preparation for the new season because the fans deserve it. I cannot describe what I felt because of the fans’ love after the ruling against me; I did not know.” I’m so loved.”

It is noteworthy that the Economic Misdemeanors Court, headed by Counselor Sherif Al-Baili, ruled on April 27 last year in prison Mortada Mansour with work and a bond of 10 thousand pounds and temporary compensation of 10 thousand pounds and obligated the accused to pay expenses and attorneys’ fees, and Mortada Mansour appealed the judgment to appeal, and the Court of Appeal considered it in the 8th session Last June, it decided to reserve the case for judgment in the July 6 session, and then extended the deadline for the verdict to be pronounced in the session yesterday, Wednesday, August 10, in which it issued a ruling to imprison him for an enforceable month.
