Cairo: Saudi Arabia imposed a ban on travelling on its citizens who want to travel to Thailand amid growing ties between the two countries after restoring full diplomatic ties earlier this year.
According to the Saudi General Directorate of Passports, stated that Saudis and Thais are now allowed each other to enter both countries.
In January 2022, Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, and Thailand agreed to restore diplomatic relations between the two countries fully and to exchange ambassadors in around 32 years.
They came on this move during the time of a landmark official visit by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to Riyadh, where he met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Earlier this week, the Saudi national carrier, Saudia, relaunched its flights between the Kingdom and Thailand.
The first batch of Thai Muslims arrived in Saudi Arabia aboard a Saudia flight last week to perform Umrah or lesser pilgrims.
The authority also encouraged to all citizens who wish to travel outside the Kingdom matter of keeping their passport safe and not neglect it or place it in an unsafe place.

Even the government also removed the restrictions for travellers that they no longer required to undergo any mandatory COVID-19 quarantine upon arrival to the kingdom, and outdoor mask and social distancing mandates are lifted; social distancing at the Two Holy Mosques and all mosques in the Kingdom is no longer required; however, mask-wearing is still required indoors.
