Dubai: As per the local media reports, Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mosque in Mecca is being disinfected and fixed ten times a day, and nearly 4000 workers fix it a day.
According to the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques that this is very important to provide a healthy and clean environment because it helps the worshippers to perform their rituals as Ramadan is going on, and it is therefore disinfecting and sterilising the entire Grand Mosque 10 times a day by more than 4,000 workers.
Furthermore, Presidency mentioned that cleaning the mosques uses 130,000 litres of disinfectants and approximately 35,000 litres of sterilisation products to clean all surfaces and carpets of mosques. Moreover, the Grand Mosque was furnished with a total of 2,500 carpets.
Not so many by nearly 11 smart Roberts are also used in order to clean the Grand Mosque.
The Presidency highlighted its eagerness to harness artificial intelligence and interactive screens to serve worshipers and Umrah performers.
Last year in 2021, the procedure was exactly the same in a bid to clean the Mosque, but the only difference was that in their Islamic month, 300 washing and disinfection operations were carried out at the Grand Mosque and its courtyards using 2,400,000 litres of high-quality disinfectant and cleaning products.
Moreover, the report added that they also perfumed with 45,000 litres of scent, and 100 fragrance diffusers were used inside it.
Five hundred appliances and pieces of equipment were used during the cleaning operations, and each process took 25 minutes to ensure that worshippers were not disturbed.
Last year the government of Saudi also allowed the foreign pilgrims allowed visitors to perform Umrah, but they imposed one condition only those pilgrims were allowed who were fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
However, in the past some years, the Saudi administration has limited the number of attendees allowed to perform Hajj.
